Co-Founders Major Williams & Deral Boykin

Deral Boykin was born and raised in Kent, Ohio. As a youth early on it was clear that Deral would excel as a great athlete. After high school, he attended the University of Kansas and the University of Louisville on an athletic scholarship 1988-1993. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1993 and went on to play 4 years in the NFL. Deral had the privilege to play for the Los Angeles Rams, Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Philadephia Eagles. Deral has always had a passion for giving back and has participated in various charity events through different NFL programs. Deral began doing an annual Christmas toy drive 5 years ago which proved to be extremely successful and a positive footprint in charity participation. Since Deral was a kid, he had a passion for cool sneakers and was an avid collector. Deral says "There was a time in my life when I could have taken a different path, but my family and sports put me back on the straight and narrow. Deral also says "I was able to achieve a lot of my life goals and now its time for me to continue lending my time, resources and experience through Fly Kicks For Kids to our underserved youth and those kids in need of guidance. I feel obligated to do my part and now is the time. Not too long ago after a post on Instagram about giving sneakers away to youth by my now partner and Co-Founder Major Williams last year it just clicked. I immediately reached out to him and we decided to do good together. That was the beginning of Fly Kicks For Kids...
